Established in 2007, Evo Africa was formed by senior, well respected, established business executives.. Evo has extensive networks in the resource, energy, telecoms and agricultural sectors throughout Sub-Saharan Africa.
Their first substantial project has been the securing of a coal mine in Swaziland which will develop a power station on site within the next 4 years. This project will have a roll-out value of $500m on completion. Construction of the mine is expected to begin in 2010.
Evo Africa is also at an advanced stage of evaluating a large Telecoms project for Africa and a Market-leading, agricultural project in South Africa. Also being evaluated are Gold Mining opportunities in Africa and a Synfuel project for coal-to-liquid conversion.
Our sister companies have a wide range of financial and technical expertise to ensure the integrity of the process. Depending on the various projects undertaken, strategic partners are brought in to that project, based on their expertise.
Key Objectives
Identify -Consider-Assess various agricultural, telecommunication, mining and energy opportunities in Sub-Sahara Africa
- Take an active role in negotiating, structuring and financing the transaction.
- The Company also looks to acquire an interest in an early stage such as prospecting or exploration opportunities and take the roll of sponsor.
- The Company will hold this opportunity until the risk level has reduced and then introduce suitable partners. At the pre-feasibility or bankable feasibility stage we are happy to exit if required.
- The Company may join an existing consortium to participate on a minority basis in an investment where its technical, business or other skills, experience and expertise can add value to the consortium and/or investment.
